Fenit Beach is located on north side of Tralee Bay about 10 km (6 mi) west of Tralee town, just south of the Shannon Estuary. The area has a number of environmental designations (SAC, pNHA) as it is rich in a diverse range of flora and fauna. This sandy beach was awarded in 2016 Blue Flag status. It`s perfect for families and swimming; there is car park, toilets and large playground. Access to the beach is suitable for wheelchairs, and along the path way picnic tables are placed.
